Nature is like a mother, who always gives without expecting anything in return. Nature also provides various resources that are vital to human life, such as clean air, water, food, and biodiversity. However, irresponsible and self-centered human activities, such as uncontrolled deforestation, the use of chemicals in industry and agriculture that are not well-managed, leading to pollution and the exploitation of natural resources, have caused significant environmental damage.

The serious impacts of environmental damage currently being suffered are:

1. Climate change is difficult to predict and has a significant impact on the agriculture, plantation, and fisheries industries.
2. Species extinction and the emergence of resistance and resurgence of plant pests, resulting in frequent outbreaks of pests and new pests that have never existed before.
3. Pollution that affects soil fertility, clean water availability, and air pollution that directly impacts human health and ecosystems.

Several efforts that can be taken to protect nature and preserve the earth are as follows:

• Reducing and Managing Waste: Reducing the use of inorganic waste such as plastic, recycling inorganic waste into useful items, and processing organic waste into compost or organic fertilizer.
• Energy Conversion: Save energy by using efficient equipment, turning off electrical appliances when not in use, and switching to renewable energy sources where possible
• Biodiversity Conservation: Protecting natural habitats and supporting conservation, rehabilitation, and nature preservation programs
• Use of pesticides and organic or natural fertilizers, as well as pesticides and chemical fertilizers in a wise and controlled manner
• Education and campaigns on the importance of protecting nature and preserving the earth from an early age so that habits and a culture of protecting nature, like protecting our own mothers, are formed.
