West Java Provincial Center for Food and Horticultural Crop Protection carried out activities related to the Pest Control Organism Movement Rice Stem Borer (PBP) in the Dipawangi Farmer Group in Jambudipa Village, Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency, and Monitoring and Evaluation of the Pesnab Pestor Assistance Program in the Sawargi Farmer Group in Mekarwangi Village, Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency. This event was attended by the Head of the Food Crop and Horticulture Protection, Nungke Rochjatti, represented by the Head of Food Protection Team, Nugroho Dwi Sasongko, the Head of the BPTPH Regional Office I in Cianjur, the Head of the Cianjur District Office, the Local POPT, the Head of the UPTD BPP Warungkondang, ppl, the Village Head of Jambudipa, the Babinsa, the Local Police Station Representative, and the Dipawangi Farmers' Group.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The rice stem borer is one of the main pests affecting rice crops. The losses incurred as a result of this pest are quite significant, reducing both the quantity and quality of rice production. The rice stem borer can attack rice plants at the young or vegetative stage, known as the sundep pest, and attack plants at the generative stage.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Before the activity, farmers received technical training on pest control and the correct use of control agents. Control was carried out using pesticides with the active ingredient Dimehipo. This active ingredient acts as a contact and stomach poison. After control measures were taken, it was hoped that the group members would continue to monitor the crops for any further stem borer attacks.<\/p>\n

Monitoring and Evaluation of Pesnab Pestor Assistance in the Sawargi Farmer Group in Mekarwangi Village, Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency received assistance in the form of Pestor, Primadeco, and BT Plus, which have been used by the Sawargi farmer group in their plantations to control pests and increase rice production.<\/p>\n
